At Vets Now, we understand that there’s life beyond the typical 9–5. If you’re looking for additional hours or want to enhance your ECC skills, this weekend role in our Kilmarnock clinic could be perfect for you.
This role offers a structured rota with one weekend in two, including a mixture of day and night shifts, plus some evening back shifts (18:00–00:00).

In the Kilmarnock clinic, you’ll find a strong support network of experienced veterinary surgeons, skilled nurses, and knowledgeable Animal Care Assistants and Receptionists. The team works collaboratively to deliver exceptional out-of-hours care, ensuring you always feel supported during your shifts.

Vets Now was founded by Richard Dixon, a veterinary surgeon who understood the pressures of being on-call which also trying to maintain a good quality of life.
Today, almost two decades since Richard did his first out-of-hours shift, we’re still just as passionate about emergency and critical care and our clinics are all managed by people who have worked as frontline vets or vet nurses.
In an emergency, pet owners want to know they’ve got the experts on board. And so do we.
