Tailored for seasoned Veterinary Surgeons, the programme offers a power-packed 80 hours of CPD, culminating in an immersive surgical wet lab practical weekend. By blending AdvantEdge with our Vet Surgeon role in Middlesbrough, you'll not only unlock the skills needed for success but also step confidently into a thrilling ECC career.
Now for work life balance
Our rota ensures a balanced workload, comprising an average of 40 hours weekly, with a cap of three consecutive shifts. It encompasses weekday nights, weekend day and night shifts (in a 2:4 weekend rotation), and a fair share of bank holidays. Moreover, in Middlesbrough, you'll relish the luxury of six to seven consecutive days off every month. Additionally, for individuals preferring fewer hours, part-time applicants are warmly welcomed.

Vets Now was founded by Richard Dixon, a veterinary surgeon who understood the pressures of being on-call which also trying to maintain a good quality of life.
Today, almost two decades since Richard did his first out-of-hours shift, we’re still just as passionate about emergency and critical care and our clinics are all managed by people who have worked as frontline vets or vet nurses.
In an emergency, pet owners want to know they’ve got the experts on board. And so do we.
