The Vacancy
South Wales - Veterinary Surgeon - Part-Time - Roving
Up to £90,000 DOE pro rata plus benefits
Are you ready for a work life less ordinary?
As a roving Vet Surgeon, you will thrive within an ever-changing environment; working in our emergency hospital and clinic across Newport and Swansea.
Vets Now is at the forefront of emergency and critical care, saving the lives of pets each and every day. Working as an emergency Vet Surgeon will expose you to an interesting range of cases that you simply won’t see in general practice.
Working out of hours doesn't mean working all hours
This opportunity involves working on a part-time basis, which includes a fair share of weekends, weeknights, and bank holidays; working an average of 20 hours per week (depending on candidate and hospital/clinic requirements, an average of 30 hours per week could possibly also be considered). Shift times will vary depending on hospital/clinic.
Develop your skills with an interesting caseload
With such a varied caseload, emergency Vets will be continually challenged medically and surgically. This is an opportunity for an individual that likes to work in a larger team whilst being supported with a strong mentoring and development ethos.

The Company
As the UK’s leading pet emergency service, we have a route to an exciting career in emergency and critical care for veterinary surgeons and registered veterinary nurses, no matter where you are in your career.
Vets Now was founded by Richard Dixon, a veterinary surgeon who understood the pressures of being on-call which also trying to maintain a good quality of life.
Today, almost two decades since Richard did his first out-of-hours shift, we’re still just as passionate about emergency and critical care and our clinics are all managed by people who have worked as frontline vets or vet nurses.
In an emergency, pet owners want to know they’ve got the experts on board. And so do we.
