Vets Now Hemel Hempstead provides out-of-hours veterinary care for dogs, cats and small animals. Our team works nights, weekends and bank holidays to provide emergency and critical care for sick and injured small animals when they need it most.
We’re looking for a Vet Surgeon to join our experienced and supportive team, on 12-month fixed-term basis.
Now for work-life balance
We appreciate that one size doesn’t fit all and with this role we can offer two rota options, working an average of 40 hours per week, plus a fair share of bank holidays:
Option 1: Weekday nights, weekend days and nights on a 1:2 rotation.
Option 2: Every Sunday 08:30–19:30, plus two weeknights per week. The exact weeknights are flexible, allowing you to find a pattern that works around your commitments.
Shift timings are typically as follows: Nights 1900-0900, Saturday days 1200-1930, Sunday days and bank holidays 0830-1930 and Sunday backs 1000-2000.
