Vets Now for Work-Life Balance

We’re seeking a part-time Veterinary Surgeon to work a 6-week rolling rota, with shifts made up of the below, typically working an average of 30 hours per week (this includes weeknight backshifts, a fair share of weekend days/backshifts, and a fair share of bank holidays). 

Backshifts:

  • 18:00–00:00, Monday to Sunday

Weekend day shifts:

  • Saturday: 12:00–18:30
  • Sunday: 08:30–18:30

Plus:

  • A fair share of bank holidays

This role offers a structured approach to out-of-hours work, while maintaining a good work/life balance.

In our Gateshead clinic, you’ll be supported by a highly experienced team including ECC-certified Veterinary Surgeons, skilled ECC nurses, and knowledgeable Animal Care Assistants and Receptionists. You’ll benefit from both formal support throughout your professional journey and informal day-to-day collaboration within a close-knit team.
